i always have trouble writing in these about pages cuz i don’t really know what to write… strangely enough… writing about yourself is not the easiest thing… i guess imma just stick to the basics… in bullet-point form and i can add more later as i think of it haha and you can ask me questions on here if there’s something you want up there

i’m a christian, which i take to mean not that i have by any measure attained the moral perfection that God calls his people to… but rather that i recognize that i never will achieve that ideal, and that’s why i need a savior… and i’m eternally grateful for the grace that God gives me… so by sinning, i’m not being a hypocrite… if i ever claimed that i was not a sinner, then i would be a hypocrite… and i would also cease to be a christian
i learn to love my family more and more each year… it’s just another one of those many things in life that you kinda learn as you get older… and there’s no way (that i know of at least) to speed up the process

i’ve got a strange aversion to reading books for class, but i love to read for pleasure… i guess i’m just a rebel at heart
i’ve always had a love for photography, but after a few years of using my point and shoot i got really really bored with not being able to actually take pictures the way that i wanted them, so i’m so thankful that i got my dslr last summer as a graduation gift from my dad and my older brother, andy. taking pictures has become a huge passion of mine. i love being able to just capture those awesome moments in life…
i love playing volleyball. if you ask me to go play volleyball… even if i barely know you… i will more than likely drop whatever i’m doing and go play… unless i’m with connie… in which case i will make it clear to her that i really want to go and hope she’ll let me play and that she’ll come and watch. to be honest though… nowadays… volleyball sometimes makes me sad because it’s so much harder to play when you only get an inch or two off the ground
i do a good number of things that would be considered fairly feminine… ahem… and i’m not ashamed of it… well.. not TOO ashamed anyway haha i’ve always had a huge respect for leonardo davinci because he was a genius but he differed from other geniuses throughout history because he was good at EVERYTHING. he dabbled in like all of the arts, in science, medicine, inventing machines of all different sorts… he was crazy haha and i’ve always wanted to be that well-rounded person who is maybe not a genius in all those fields but is at least pretty good at lots of things. and my mom was the same way… she was so good at so many things. anyway… hmmm a few of those girly things that come to mind right now are baking (which really really isn’t hard at all haha) and scrapbooking… and some other craft-related stuff.. meh don’t judge me
i really want to learn how to make web pages… at some point i’m gonna just have to sit down and learn html and java script and… whatever else people use to build and design web pages.
i’m really easy-going about most things… to the point where i cause stress for other people who are close to me because i worry so little about my own life…
my favorite verses in the bible are philippians 4:6-7. go figure… tells you not to be anxious
God has been ridiculously good to me even though i don’t always see it all the time
i graduated from duke in may ’09 with a B.S. in economics and a religion minor. only by the grace of God… seriously…
i want to get married fairly young… like… around 24 or 25… that only gives me a year or two :\ doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen…
people are important to me… much more important than any grades or job will ever be
